WSIB Orientation & Work Disruption Policies

This 1 day seminar will introduce participants to Ontario’s compensation legislation, principles and third party rights. Participants will explore key definitions like disablement, recurrence, aggravation, occupational disease and stress.  They will discuss reporting of injuries, filing of claims, process of appeal and responsibilities of workplace parties and medical professionals.  As well, participants will examine WSIB policies regarding  layoffs and plant closings  and their impact on worker’s claims and entitlements.
