Medical Orientation – Toronto

springwebad2015In this week-long course participants will examine medical testing and interpret medical information found in claim files.  They will learn medical terminology and human anatomy with attention to the different organ systems, specific injuries involving the back, bone, MSI and disorders such as chronic pain and fibromyalgia.  Mental stress will be examined along with WSIB policies relating to traumatic stress, psychotraumatic disability and behavioural disorders. The course also covers WSIB policies, medical specialists, diagnostic tests, awards and how they are calculated and when and how a re-determination occurs.
