1. WHSC Level 1 Basic Occupational Health and Safety Awareness (no prerequisite) *starts evening of Wednesday, November 5, 2025
2. Prevention Link – ODRT WSIB Level 1: Rights and Obligations & Level 2: Benefits and Services (no prerequisite) *starts evening of Wednesday, November 5, 2025
Levels 1 and 2 are foundation courses that teach participants the workers’ compensation system in Ontario (WSIB). They learn about the principles of workers’ compensation, how to report and file a WSIB claim, types of injuries, regulations and policies, benefits and services, and much more.
3. Prevention Link – ODRT WSIB Level 3: Appeals and Dispute Resolution (Level 1 and 2 are prerequisites) *starts evening of Tuesday, November 4, 2025
Prevention Link has developed a holistic and intuitive course meant to prepare participants for Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and Workplace Safety and Insurance and Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT) hearings. Using case file examples and mock hearings, this intensive course will provide participants with the practical skills to prepare and present oral hearings before the WSIB and the WSIAT.
In this interactive and analytical course, participants will review a file, gather additional evidence, research law, policy, and precedent, and prepare witnesses. They will also prepare witnesses for questioning, cross-questioning, and re-directing at a hearing.
4. WHSC Instructor Training (WHSC Level 1 is a pre-requisite) *starts evening of Thursday, October 30, 2025
5. Environmental Racism, and Building Asian Solidarity (ACLA) *starts evening of Wednesday, November 5, 2025
